FAQs
How are the
pages reproduced?
We'll examine the pages,
binding, and fastenings to determine
if its better to scan the pages on a
high-resolution flatbed scanner, or
if we should photograph each page in
our studio. We will strive to
find the best blend of high quality
imagery and careful handling of your
originals. The price for
either of these methods is the same.
How are the
copied pages printed?
We will utilize our state of the
art digital printers from Canon and
Xerox to faithfully reproduce your
pages. Each page is printed on
heavyweight 100# paper.
What size are
the finished copies?
We like to create 12x12 bound
copies of your albums. This
size has several advantages:
- If your photo
album currently has rectangular
pages, our square pages will
provide ample room to make notes
on each page, for purposes of
identifying people or events.
- If your
Current album has larger photos
or clippings that had to be
inserted 'sideways' in the book
in order to fit on the page, we
will re-orient them correctly in
your new finished 12x12 book.
- Most
scrapbooks are square, and fir
nicely on our 12x12 pages
How many pages
can the new copies accommodate?
Our hard-bound books can hold 20
sheets of 100# paper. If you'd
like additional page capacity, we
can special order the covers for you
at additional cost.
What about the
plastic sheets over the photo pages?
Some photo albums incorporate
plastic sheets over each photo page.
Often those sheets are stuck to the
photos, wrinkled, etc. If we
can easily flip the plastic sheet
out of the way, we will.
Otherwise, we'll do the best we can
to minimize glare and artifact from
the plastic covers. Your final
pages may have some areas of
glare... but it will look no worse
than it does when you're flipping
through it on your lap!
How log does it
take?
Generally, it takes about a
week. If you have a special
need (tight deadline for a gift or
party), we can discuss.
